| About | | Second Sun is a progressive, five member, all original band based out of the Midwest. They have opened for many national acts at various venues, the most notable being Piere's in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Piere's was recently named the 4th largest venue in the world for concert ticket sales. It is also the venue where Second Sun's album "Testimony" debuted at their CD release party earlier this year on May 10th. Second Sun has appeared live on television and radio, and have also had their music featured on a radio compilation disc by former X102.3 fm known as “X Essentials.” Second Sun was a finalist in an international competition known as Emergenza, where they took home prizes for best vocals and best guitarists. They have been nominated for several awards by entertainment magazines. The band has performed at music festivals, including the Ride and Grind Skate Show, which was nationally sponsored by Red Bull energy drink. Currently over 5,000 copies of their CDs have been sold. Through an artist and development deal, the band was able to record a demo in Nashville Tennessee. Second Sun is performing regionally promoting their debut album "Testimony" They have already begun work on their second album tentatively titled “In The Face Of Chaos.” Second Sun is also going to participate in a compilation CD of other local bands for charity, which will be distributed by Smash Alley Records, featuring one of their new songs not currently on the album "Testimony."
